Full Name: Angelic Tale, AKA Angie (Soul)/Selena Burns, AKA Lena (Host)
NB: When I role play, I will refer to them by whoever controls the body.
Human, Soul, or Soul inside a Host (if you choose Soul inside a Host be aware that you will be taken out and put into your own body soon):
Soul inside a Host
Age: 3 lives (Angelic Tale) /13 (Selena Burns)
Sex: Female
Personality:
Selena Burns
Selena is a very shy, very introversive young girl. Her intellect was always extremely high for her age. She never makes friends easily, always preferring to remain with the people she trusted and knew very well. She is a hard-worker, and does not give up easily, which explains why she’s still here. Lena is very stubborn and outspoken when she believes in something, even if she completely mistaken and wrong. She was always artistic, but more in writing little stories than in drawing and so on. She could also lie convincingly, but it depended how and to whom. She never trusts anyone now, and though she’s at peace with her Soul, Angie, perhaps even best friends with her, she still keeps her secrets. She hates it when she sees someone being treated unfairly, and she will always fight for that person. She knows that this is not always a great idea in a time were you can’t really trust anyone, since she would always put another’s life, especially if he/she/it is in trouble, before her own.
Angelic Tale
Like most souls, Angelic Tale is outgoing and honest. She is timid and would rather ignore it if someone decided to torment her. She takes offense easily, though she tries not to show it. Her Calling is Artistic, namely storytelling, and sculpting. Angie had always tended to be an overachiever amongst her kind, always finding a different Calling on each planet she’d visited. She is a magpie of sorts; loving to hoard things, since she loves finding a purpose for things which others would have given up on long ago. She is pretty much the same with people and situations, always trying to find the bright side of something. Some would call her too optimistic, but that’s just a show she puts on. She is actually very pessimistic, a terrible worrier who never lets things go and she supposes that her ‘optimism’ is her method of trying to keep herself, and others, happy. She loves being independent, fixing things that are broken, and she has been a shoulder for several beings. She doesn’t mind being by herself now, something that worries her, since she’d always craved others and attention.
Appearance:
Selena’s figure was tall, slender and athletic. Her muscles were not readily apparent, but she could do several things which showed you how strong she was. Her wavy hair was a dark brown, almost black, cut to chin-length. In the sun, golden highlights would emerge. She had intelligent and compassionate looking midnight blue eyes, flecked with bits of gold and encircled with long, dark eyelashes. . Despite living in an environment where the sun was harsh, her skin remained very pale, except for a slight tan on her arms and legs. She had more of a boyish figure, with subtle curves. This was to be expected, as she had just turned thirteen. Her nails were short and irregular, due to a nail-biting habit and her face was almost clear of pimples, with a few beauty spots scattered on her visage. Selena rarely used makeup, except for a minute amount of lip-gloss, eyeliner and clear mascara.
RP Example:
I’d like you to know that I am not an experienced role player, but here goes!
Angelic Tale perched herself on the edge of the desk, her mind processing what she had just seen. Whilst she was hiking alone in the mountains close to her home, she saw a sight few souls, at least those who weren’t Seekers had seen. She had watched as the humans (humans!) came out from their ingenious hiding place. She knew they were humans because their eyes had no silver sheen as they glanced into the sun, that is, except one; the young blond one, the one whose eyes gleamed silver. A rebel soul! Angie thought incredulously. It was unheard of. None of the Seeker’s reports had ever spoken about anything like this. There were rumours of course, that souls would go missing, and that they were kidnapped by humans. But no-one would ever have thought that a soul could betray their kind!
"Maybe she is, or was, like us," cut in Selena.
"What do mean?" I asked her, confused.
"I’m just saying that maybe the original owner of her body didn’t fade away, like me."
"But what do you mean by was?" I thought, only slightly appeased with her answer.
"I mean," she thought, speaking as though illustrating the concept to a human five year old, "that maybe they took her out of her old body, and inserted her into a different one."
"Oh," I thought, illuminated. "Okay, we know the location of the rebels. Now what do we do?"
"It’s simple," Selena replied, "Obviously, we can’t just show up there, they’ll think we’re Seekers. So, we have to make them kidnap us."
Stunned, I didn’t answer back for a second. "And how would we do that?"
"I can’t concentrate on this right now," she said after a pause. "We’re both tired, and we need to sleep. "
"You’re right."
"Aren’t I always?" she almost arrogantly responded.
History:
Angelic Tale
Angelic Tale was born on the See Weeds. She had only spent one life there, the monotony being almost unbearable for her. She had retained part of her name from her time there, as she was an acclaimed Storyteller.
Angie’s next planet was the Mists Planet, where she was one of Glitterweaver’s pupils. She had also taken part of her name from her time there as it was a planet she had thoroughly enjoyed, with its danger element and artistic expressionism. She was a good ice-sculptor there, some Bears even calling her work angelic. She would have taken another life-term there, if she hadn’t heard of the alluring blue planet called Earth, with its wide variety of life, colours, emotions and so much more.
Angie had asked for a young human host, one that was not a child, but not yet an adult either. As soon as she woke up after insertion, she knew that something was terribly wrong. The original mind was talking back to her, and it wasn’t just memories. However, thanks to her pride, she had kept silent, for which she is now glad.
Lena was a great, and smart, friend, and after they had discovered together the coven of humans, they decided on a plan of action to make the humans kidnap them. In the end, they had resolved to walk a little too close to the entrance of the human’s nest.
Now, Angie knows about this group of rebel souls and humans and she is close to being put into a new body. Lena and Angie will miss each other, but she wants to give Lena her life and body back. Right now, she is simply glad that she has been allowed to stay on Earth.
Selena Burns
Selena Burns was born and raised in Namibia, a country in Africa. She had first learned about the invasion when all her friends started acting strangely. Confronting her parents, she learned the truth about the Souls. Lena and her parents decided to move to America, where the rest of her family lived. However, disaster struck as soon as they landed in the USA. Her parents didn’t last long, but it took the Seekers longer to catch Lena as she was a fast runner and a high jumper. Nevertheless, they caught her and inserted Angie into her body. Thanks to Lena’s determination, Angie couldn’t stamp out her mind, and after a long while, they made peace and worked together in order to find a rebel human colony, and maybe the rest of Lena’s family.
After a long search, they finally found the humans, and strangely enough, rebel souls. They hatched a plan to make the humans ‘kidnap’ us, which worked, and now Angie is going to be placed into another body, Lena tried to stop her, but the majority ruled. There’s nothing she can do now except be glad that Angie isn’t leaving her completely. The humans gave them a choice, and Angie decided to stay.
Celebrity look-alike (if you have one): A younger Alexis Bledel with midnight blue eyes with gold flecks and shorter hair.
I’m sorry that my application is so long!
