Full Name: Lacey Elizabeth Martin
Age: Mid to late twenties (did in specify in the book? I can't remember...)
Sex: Female
Species: Human
Personality:
Lacey's sort of just regaining what her personality is really like, after being stuck inside the seeker for such a long time. Many remember her as being a manipulative, and probably considered somewhat evil, soul, but as a human she really isn't that bad. She still doesn't make the best first impression, being a bit of a loud mouth after being shut out for all that time, and she's kind of blunt as well. She also got use to the comfortable life of a seeker, so being in cave doesn't really suit her, she you might her her complaining a lot too. However, to be honest, she's starting to get used to it, and all it means to be human again, so you might have to give her some time. She remembers that as child, before she had the soul, she really was pretty innocent, and even kind. Giving the right incentive and atmosphere, she might even return to that way. At the moment, though, she can be a little difficult to get to know.
Appearance:
Now that Lacey's got her human expressions back, she's not as intimidating as she used to be. Her dull eyes are now a wide with life, and a bright blue-grey in color. Her skin is fairly pale, since she doesn't spend much time outdoors, though considering she's now living in the desert that might change soon. Her hair is long and dark brown in color, almost black really, but she usually wears it up since she hates to have it dangling in her face. It was actually the seeker who hated it first, but the habit was passed on to her. Lacey stands a little taller than most, at a height of about 5'7", and her frame looks fairly lean, though she does have a little muscle to her, and now that she's working physical (despite her grumbling) she's bound to gain more strength. As far as clothing goes, she really just takes whatever is given to her by the others, usually just spare jeans and t-shirts. At first it felt strange not wearing all back, but a part of her enjoys having color back in her life too.
RP example:
((From an RPG based off of the werewolves of the Twilight series))
Kim pulled her old, green jeep off to the side of the road. Not because of car trouble (though lord knows considering its age she expected to have some any day now), but merely becase there wasn't exactly and official parking lot for the cliffs. It's not like it was a tourist hot spot or anything, just a local place for the kids of the reservation. Of course, she wasn't exactly a kid anymore, though that didn't stop her from coming. She parked in the gravel, a safe distance from the actual street, even if there was hardly any cars driving by. Kim hopped out, not bothering to lock the doors as she stuffed her keys in the jeans of her pockets. A show of trust perhaps; she knew almost every person in the area, and she had good faith that no one was going to try and hot wire her car when she was a mere 50 feet away.
The brunette walked out towards the ends of the cliffs, though she didn't wander too close to the edge. Instead, she just stood there for a moment, and released the sigh she had quite realized she had been holding. It was nearing sunset, and the colors of the sky as the sun began to hit the water was absolutely beautiful. No, she wasn't a kid any more, but pictures like this only got better as you got older. She still loved coming to the cliffs if she just wanted a moment to think and relax. Kim had actually just finished another day of classes at the community college. She was happy to be taking courses at home now, so she could be with her family, friends, and Jared, but school was still school, still adding stress to her life. It had been a while since she had done something as simple as watch the sunset, and as she had been driving by, she just felt like it was needed.
Kim walked a little bit closer to the edge, peering carefully over to watch the ocean hit against the rocks far below. 'Of course, cliff-diving is even a better way to relieve stress,' she thought, with a small smile, resting her hands in the pockets of her blue hoodie. The thrill that came from diving never got old, but she wasn't stupid enough to do a jump on her own, disregarding the fact that she was fully-clothed in layers. Maybe when she was 15 and full of teenage rebellion she might have, but today she resisted the urge. The twenty-one year old was here to watch the day's end, before stealing some of her parents home-cooking.
What you like about the canon character:
I think Lacey would be really fun to play, because she's very different from the rest of the humans, even Melanie in my opinion. She was stuck inside the seeker for a very long time, and it's be interesting to play around with how she does with being human again. Plus, her personality is kind of sharp and bold, which will be fun when it comes to rp'ing, lol
