Missing Light was bored.
It usually took a lot to bore her - even the See Weeds didn't bore her. She walked around the neighborhood, completely and utterly bored.
I'm so bored!
Don't complain. At least you can move. Plus, I don't like listening to your tirades.
Missing Light shivered. She didn't like it when she could feel the other in her head.
Margaret Anderson was a pain in the rear. Or the head, to be anatomically correct.
I hate you, she thought.
I hate you more.
Shut up.

Night Showers glances up and down the street, her sharp eyes searching for anything out of the ordinary. Sometimes she just didn't understand... why wouldn't the humans give up? It wasn't their planet anymore, and it never would be again.
But, she hadn't seen any humans for a long while now, which made her smile with pride in the fact that her own species was one of the smartest (if not the) in all of the planets they'd discovered. Night Showers really didn't know much about the Soul's history, though, and that would have been interesting.
Looking around the neighborhood and shielding her eyes from the sun, Night Showers spotted a female wandering around what seemed like aimlessly, and decided to go and poke and prod at her.
"How are you doing today?" she called out, walking closer to the girl.

Perfectly fine, thank you, Missing Light said, her smile pleasant.
You're lying through my teeth, the other thought.
I don't care. Go die.
And yourself?

Night Showers looked at the girl. She had pretty green eyes (with the mark of a Soul, of course) and shoulder length brown hair. She seemed unhappy, somehow, though, and Night Showers didn't like that fact. She wanted her own species to be grateful and to feel powerful as they improved planets.
"I'm doing quite well, thank you," Night Showers replied, her own tone dripping with a bittersweet nice-ness that certainly wasn't hers.
She wanted information from this girl, but she didn't look like she knew much. However, any sort of lead she could find was a good leg-up in her search for any remaining humans. This excitement, this vitality, was what kept her alive and fiercely kicking.
"My name is Dances During Night Showers, or just Night Showers for short, and I was wondering if you had seen or heard any hint of remaining rebel human's existance?"
She knew that that statement sounded rehearsed and over-processed, but whatever, she would get what Night Showers needed to know. [/blockquote]

Rebel humans? Missing Light asked incredulously, reflecting both her thoughts and the other's.
Some survived! We still have a chance! I still have a chance!
Missing Light scowled. No. And I hope you catch them. Fools like that need to be snuffed out.
Missing Light, despite the other's loud protest, extended a hand. They call me Reaches for Missing Light.

Night Showers smiled pleasantly.
Good, no humans running around here...
Still, she had a weird feeling that there was some underground group of humans... fighting, trying to resist their fate... Night Showers hated this idea. Why didn't they just give up? They weren't going to succeed. The Souls always succeeded. Humans were weak.
"Nice to meet you, Reaches for Missing Light. So, do you call this lovely neighborhood your home?" Night Showers asked, making it look like she cared. [/blockquote]

(Nigh Showers, is it OK to pretend my character knows you?)
Knight was walking down the road of a town in the middle of Arizona, doing one of his pointless human hunts. As he walked Knight fingered the rifle on his back. Knight was one of the seekers who liked to be armed so he was happy to carry round a weapon. As he terned a corner Knight noticed two souls in conversation, since he was bored Knight decided to abuse his power.
Walking over to the souls Knight said. "So what are you two doing...." He trailed off when he noticed one of the souls was Night Shower, one of the seekers he occasionally worked with. "Oh hello, Night Showers"

Night Showers turned and looked back at the approaching man. She sighed. Knight had somewhat of a reputation, and she worked with him occasionally, but not enough to really know him that well. He seemed alright, but this Soul standing in front of the two Seekers might be a little frazzled.
"Hi, Knight, lovely to see you again," she said, her voice monotone like a broken tape recording.
